Science and math
Considering the technology they had available at the time, the contribuation of ancient greeks to science and math have been nothing short of outstanding and largely influenced modern society as we know it they have done so much,it's impossible to pick only few to be honest with you .remember those weired letter symbol in math and science class that only the teacher knew how to write and calculate -correctly ?well, they came from the greek alphabet ,which means ,they were the ones who derived them and know how to apply them in everyday use ancient greeks influeced geometery a lot, they had developed many are still applicable today, such as the famous pythagorean thoerm they insisted that deductive thinking must be applied when it moves to natural sciences instead of just accepting facts as they are i dont say now days need to use that thinking in a lot of different aspects of life, but hey, that's just mehey, how about the fact that the earth is round ?though the
earlist composed say of a sperical earth originates from old greek source ,there is no record of how the sphericity of the earth was found ,aristotle and pythagoras were among"the first ones to suggest that the earth may actually be round that idea was quite shocking at the time to ssy the least ,but four forward thousands of year, later and we still have plenty of flat earth out there hey sometimes ,some people just need to see something with their own eyes
The Crane
Their own eyes the crane a crane is a machine specially designed to lift and move havey objects when you've seen it round dance and building something without without the crane would be preety much impossible i mean just pointing out the obvious here but since not many of us can lift things that literally weight a ton if you are thinking that the crane is not that special considering the development of modern tecnology and every then you are in for a big surprize it it is okay there's not really that much of a big reveal here but you cannot build any sky scrapers you probably could but good luch getting that done the crane was invented by the ancient greeks the 6th century B.C while it's true that modern cranes are
obviously much more sophisticated they still use the same machnism develop i do ancient greeks archaeologists doing research on ancient on greek sites were able to confirm this nothing that some of the stones had specific marking and holes in them suggesting thar huge flocks really lifted and moved around the first cranes ever were just a bunch of ropes used to lift stones but over time the ancient greeks implemented the whole winch and pully things as well it looks like they got the inspiration for a machine likes this while building the temple and all fairness the examples they build are one of the biggest construction achievements in the history of mankind they are still consider marbles today let alone thousands of years age the cranes is so simple and yet so ingenious how else would you be able to lift massive stone blocks off the ground and arrange them that higher in those greek style pillars
